BROADWAY 2018 “Local Wisdom in the Millennial Era”

Along with the development of sophisticated technology in the present and in the future, education providers in Universitas Brawijaya Malang uphold the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and Vision and Mission of Universitas Brawijaya Malang to present quality human resources, devoted to the Almighty God, able to teach self, has a broad insight, has a discipline and work ethic, and can develop science, technology, and art in order to develop a culture of being a strong professional staff and able to compete at the international level.

Indeed, every individual always has the expertise or talent that is in him. As a manifestation of us in maintaining the solidity, harmony, intellectuality, and creativity of the Indonesian people. Therefore, the Economics Department Student Association held this BROADWAY 2018 event with the theme “Local Wisdom in the Millennium Era”, which means that the younger generation can develop local wisdom in their respective regions in order to compete in the millennial era and in the eras. Hopefully, enabling BROADWAY 2018 can be an initial step to introduce the field of Economics and can provide benefits for both external and internal parties.

The BROADWAY 2018 work program has three events. The first series was held on 10 October 2018, namely the Technical Meeting Business Plan, which was held in the Hall of Building D FEB UB and Photography, housed in the Hall of Building A FEB UB, a Technical Meeting held for the delivery of material and a question and answer study.

The second series was held on October 11, 2018, namely the Business Plan competition which took place in the Hall of Main Building FEB UB with the theme “Actualization of Sociopreneur in Developing Local Wisdom Potential” and Photography game which took place in Pasar Besar Malang with the theme “Take Hidden Local Wisdom in Indonesia” .

The third series was held on October 12, 2018 namely the Business Exhibition and the Indie Festival which took place at the Dieng Valley Field Fishing Line. The target of the intended participants is business people from several circles such as students. Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya. Socio preneur actors, business plan participants and the general public. This activity aims to implement business plans and exhibitions where there are business fairs, photography and music.
