Ecocare is a work program at HMJIE from the Public Relations department that aims to care for others as among them, first about health, build awareness in the health sector in the form of blood donation and counseling on the importance of distributing blood for those who need it and the benefits of donating blood itself. The second concerning concern for education, the concern meant in education is to motivate children in orphanages to return to enthusiasm in taking the highest education with all the shortcomings they have, while also providing learning related to ethics and morals. With these objectives, the target is the Economics and Business Economics students. This year ECOCARE will be held for three series, in the three series the activities carried out include caring activities implemented in the form of IE Teaching and Social Services, Takjil Sharing, and Blood Donors.
The purpose and objective of this activity is to instill a strong social spirit, so that it becomes a strong provision in community life, and with a strong social spirit, scholars are expected not to become scholars who are apathetic towards poverty and imbalances around it. The specific objectives to be achieved through this activity are: fostering social sensitivity and concern for students and developing students’ personal social responsibility.
This first series was a Social Service held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 and took place at the Sunan Ampel Orphanage starting at 13.30 WIB-finished. In this activity various games and materials will be given to orphanage children.
The second series is Sharing Takjil, which was held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the gate of Soekarno-Hatta University of Brawijaya. The event starts at 15.00-finish. By beginning the activity of preparing takjil to be distributed at the scheduled time, and ending with evaluation activities after the joint opening is complete.
This last series is blood donation held on Thursday, September 12, 2019, located in the basement of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya. In this activity a blood donor activity will be held in collaboration with PMI Malang Regency. This event was filled with performances from Homeband FEB UB and will last for 1 hour.
This series was closed with dedication to Pusung Village. The series will be held together with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya and the Management Department Student Association. This series focuses more on the IE Teaching division. The series also includes activities to provide material to elementary school students and the community in the village of Pusung.
