The density of existing lecture schedules and endless student bustle requires a stamina and endurance of a balanced and strong and high mentality, with the holding of this event may help remove the fatigue and boredom experienced by students, as refreshing and sports as well as to share also to strengthen and familiarize the students of Economics Department and compete healthily in sharpening talents and to suppress a little sense of boredom and saturation in the activity, so as to create integrity and balance between academic activities with non-academic activities. Therefore HMJ-IE held ECONOMICS LEAGUE 2017 which is a sports competition which is followed by all students majoring in Economics from class of 2013 until force 2016.

            With the theme INDONESIAN PRIDE, ECONOMICS LEAGUE 2017 has made the friendship ropes and friendship ropes among FEB-UB students increased especially the Department of Economics through an inspirational and innovative in the field of non-academic so as to grow and improve the spirit to keep honing skills in the field of non- academic, especially sports and art that in fact is able to be a balance between the right brain and the left brain of students so it is hoped the creation of productive students who not only focus on education orientation in academics only and also able to support an existence HMJ-IE.

            The series of ECONOMICS LEAGUE 2017 events will be held on Tuesday 16 May 2017 held at 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 Building of E FEB UB. The first series of events is a Technical Meeting starting at 18:00 ie registration participants then headed to the room for each race. In this Technical Meeting in addition explained technical explanation related to the series of events also explained the technical presentation and entertainment by the performers. Also presented by referees from each – each race to participate explain how the technical race.

            Then the second series of events on 18, 19, 20, and 25 May 2017. The second series of events is a futsal competition held in Champion Tidar, and SM Futsal, Malang. On date 18, 19, May 20, 2017 held in SM Futsal which started at 18.00 – 21.00. On May 25, 2017 it was held in Champion Tidar which started at 09.00 – 13.00. This futsal competition was followed by 12 teams from students majoring in economics. Then, the 1st winner in the futsal competition among students majoring in economics is achieved by CHESTA FC while the 2nd winner is achieved by EPIX B. The futsal race contestants of ECONOMICS LEAGUE 2017, among others: PERSEKIS 16, BEJONI 15, ECONOMY SYARIAH FC 16, CHESTA FC 14, EPIX 1 16, EPIX 2 16, NO NAME 14, FOYA – FOYA FC 15, EP 15, and CAMEL FC 15.
Then the third event is on 21 May 2017.

            The third event is a badminton competition held at GOR Tombro, Malang starting at 08.00 – 13.00. Participants in badminton contest amounted to 3 teams from students of Department of Economics. The winner is from the students of Economics Department 2016. The 2nd place is occupied by a team of students of Economics 2015.Adapun participants who follow, namely: Economics 2014, Economics 2015, and Economics 2016.

            Then the fourth series of events are on 20 and 25 May 2017. The fourth series of events is a basketball competition held in Champion Tidar, Malang starting at 18:00 to 21:00 and 08:00 to 13:00. In the basketball competition followed by 4 teams of students majoring in economics. Students of Economics 2013 became the 1st champion while the 2nd champion is occupied by students of Economics 2014 in basketball competition among students majoring in economics. The 2014 Economics League basketball contestants, namely: Economics 2013, Economics 2014, Economics 2015, and Economics 2016.

            And the last series of gifts and closing events on May 25, 2017 at Champion Tidar start at 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The prizes are awarded by the chief executive and the vice-chairman of the executive who presents prizes to the winners in each race. The initial objectives of ECONOMICS LEAGUE 2017 activities have been achieved, among others, as follows:

  1. Has become one of the media pengakraban between students
  2. Has become a supporting tool in the deepening of talent for participants who are competent in the field of sports
  3. Be an inspirational activity for participants to continue to hone talents in non-academic fields
  4. Have been able to appreciate the talents of participants in the field of sports and art
  5. And has cultivated a competitive spirit balanced with sportsmanship in participants
