Open House KM is an event to welcome new students and the introduction of various institutions and communities in the Faculty of Economics and Business Brawijaya University. The event was packaged in the form of performances and exhibitions by each institution. Participants in this activity are 2019 new students and institutions in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Brawijaya University. The difference between this year’s Open House KM and previous years is the theme of this year, “Treasure Hunt in the Ancient World”.

Through the welcoming ceremony of new students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Brawijaya University 2019 and implementing institutions, the Open House KM 2019 Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business seeks to become a facilitator and a forum for new students to search for and support work programs in the Faculty of Economics and Business Brawijaya University, as well as a means of developing soft skills intended for all students through existing institutions. With the implementation of this activity, a good relationship has been established with LO, LSO, and the community in creating benefits for KM FEB UB.

This year’s Open House KM consists of two series, namely the KM Gathering and the Institutional Expo. The first series, the KM Gathering, was held on August 24, 2019 at GOR Pertamina Brawijaya University. Various institutions and communities show their existence and talents on the stage, and also invite new students to join their institutions and communities. 932 new students and enlivened by the appearance of 24 institutions and communities. Then the second series is the Institution Expo which is held on August 26-27 2019 in the middle field and the lower field of FEB UB. On the first day, the number of visitors who attended were 751 new students and 252 other visitors, both from old students of FEB UB and from outside FEB UB. Whereas on the second day, the number of visitors was 733 new students and 312 other visitors.

Not only containing institutional and community stands, the Expo institution was also enlivened by various tenants and foodtruck, ranging from food, books, to cosmetics. In addition, there are also standing games with prizes for new students that must be played and increasingly enlivened the event.

The welcoming and campaigning of institutions in the Faculty of Economics and Business Brawijaya University can be expected to carry out the Open House KM in the following years also to run better and more lively.
