Monday (20/10), FEB get a visit from a representative of Kansai University, Japan, namely Prof. Yasuo Yamashita, Koji Abe Ph. D., and Anita. They met directly by the Board of Directors of FEB UB, including the Dean, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Dean for Finance, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Chairman of the International Economics Program, Chairman of the International Program Management, and Chairman of the International Accounting Program. In this visit, the two sides talked about cooperation in the academic field.
Kansai University have Asian Cooperative Program (ACP), which is a program to collaborate with countries in Southeast Asia. In the ACP at least there are 13 universities in South East Asia are invited to establish in collaboration with Kansai University, the four universities in Malaysia, two universities in Vietnam, 1 university in Thailand, 2 peruguruan high in the Philippines, and 4 colleges in Indonesia, one of which is UB, especially FEB. However, details of ACP cooperation program itself will be discussed along with representatives from each of the colleges at the meeting on 3 November 2014, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At this meeting, the two sides have agreed to collaborate in the exchange of students. In the future, the parties expect that this cooperation can be more widely, for example by organizing Double Degree. In his speech, Prof. Yasuo Yamashita revealed that the purpose of their visit was to improve relations with the FEB. The increasing number of foreign universities that intend to establish cooperation with the FEB is inseparable from has earned accreditation internationally. (Azm)
