The competitions are an opportunity for EDC to demonstrate its existence and capabilities, as well as to test the creativity of EDC members. Starting from this desire, EDC tried to maximally lift the name of the Faculty of Economics and Business to maintain what had been achieved before. On April 6, 2019, the traditional EDC genre participated in a competition called “Seis Dance Modern Generation of Ratoh Jaroe Festival” at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta. The EDC delegates were Endah Rekno Palupi, Siti Sholikhatin, Addina Amalia Anggi, Amila Aulia Sari, Amirah Afani, Annisa Salsabilla, Bunga Putri, Eling Shidqi, Masyitoh Febriatin, Nabila Safira, Salma Nurhalida, Nariswari Alifathea, Ika Octavia, Ryonti Madhani. This competition is a national level competition which is participated in by dancers throughout Indonesia, which are divided into 2 categories, namely for students and the public. EDC follows the general / student category.
The genre of traditional saman dance is a dance genre that is competed in the Seis Defense Modern Generation of Ratoh Jaroe Festival. This competition brought the theme “Tapeujaya Nangroe Calling Tape for the Beauty of Ratoh Jaroe Dance” and was held at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University in Jakarta. This competition is open to the public without any age restrictions and is divided into 2 categories, namely the student and general categories. EDC chose to take part in the general category, because it was a delegation from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya.
Economics and Business Dance Club (EDC) brought 14 delegates and performed the saman dance and was able to compete with other participants, unfortunately there were still many movements and floor patterns that needed to be improved. It is expected that for the next competitions, EDC can win championships and produce various other achievements.
