The annual Congress of the Indonesian Economy Student Forum (FMEI) 2017

The annual Congress of the Indonesian Economy Student Forum (FMEI) 2017 is conducted twice per year, per semester in 2017. The first congress of FMEI is held at Soedirman University in Purwokerto from 12 th to 14 th May 2017, and in the near future the congress will be held at Diponogoro University at Semarang on the 17th to the 19th of November. The date and location of both congresses have been approved by both sides of the External Public RrelationForum of FMEI 2017. This Forum is comprised of 13 best universities in Indonesia, namely University of Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Diponegoro University, Soedirman University, Brawijaya University, Yogyakarta State University, Sebelas Maret University, Sriwijaya University, University of North Sumatra, Padjadjaran University, and Gadjah Mada University.

The opening of the Congress Forum was initiated by the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Soedirman University, attended by the chairman and members of the Student Executive Board, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Soedirman University, and all the FMEI delegates that held at the auditorium in the Dean’s Building. The event continued with a small discussion, separated by delegates from External Public Relation, Head of Student Executive Board and Studying Issues and Strategic Action Department (KASTRAT). The next day followed by a Big Discussion followed by all members of the FMEI delegates and the last agenda is the realization of follow-up studying of KASTRAT Department that presents speakers from the Office of Representatives Taxation Purwokerto city. The theme of discussion is about Amnesty Problems Tax in Indonesia. Forum FMEI was closed by inaugurating FEB Telkom University Bandung and FEB Mulawarman University as a new member of Indonesian Student Economic Forum

BEM FEB Universitas Brawijaya has chosen five of functional members as delegates of FMEI forum at Soedirman University. They are Arky Darmawan as the Chairman of BEM FEB UB 2017, M. Dicky Kusnadi and Ferdian Syarifuddin as representatives of the Department of Studying Issues and Strategic Action, and Rahmat Takbir Syawaludin as representatives of the Department of Public Relations in Division of External Diplomacy Relations. Delegates gained knowledge on tax amnesty issues in Indonesia, have made a positive contribution by bringing the results of the study of tax amnesty issues and the Automatic Exchange of Information taxation in Indonesia and presenting to all members of the FMEI forum for discussion to produce an effective draft solution to the government and society. “FMEI for delegator is a very memorable and prestigious forum for the Faculty of Economics and Business University of Brawijaya. Inside FMEI, Delegator get a lot of discourse as well as new thinking because it can be coupled to discuss the grand design of the upcoming Indonesian economy along with famous campuses in Indonesia.
