Islamic economics which is rich with its instruments has become one of the important players in determining the face of the world economy, has agreat potential in participating towards sustainable development in Southeast Asia. This is reinforced due to the increase of Muslim population which grew annually by an average of 1.5%. Total Muslim Population in this world today is as much as 1.6 billion (Pew Research centerof the future of the global Muslim population, 2011) which amounted to 1.005 billion or same as 62.1% lived in Southeast and South Asia. With assets driven by the development, instrument and Islamic finance industry, the greater will arise potential in taking a position in the Asia and Global Economic.

Sustainable development is a process that aim lies in realization of self-reliance and economic prosperity, this case in Southeast Asia. To make Sustainable development happen, it needs to be a synergy between the existing economic actors. In all models and effort to the process of sustainable development is necessary to balance and alignment between the two main sectors, the real sector and the financial sector. Main sectors in the sustainable development efforts in southeast Asia include the agricultural sector, maritime, education and health, social and cultural rights availability should be improved and processed as for the importance of society. The process in order to improve the real sector was necessarily accompanied by an increase in the financial sector, which in this case is Islamic finance. Thus the role of stakeholders both regulators which in this case is the government, financial practitioners and SMEs is very important.

Role and synergy which is created between the stakeholders in this Southeast Asian economies can be realized through the preparation of reliable human resources through the selection process with scale adequate qualifications, training by experienced trainers, and of course planting corresponding pure values  as Islamic Al- Quran and As-sunnah. Another thing that needs to be prepared also are innovative Islamic financial products in countries of Southeast Asia to be able to request undertakes various capital needs in optimizing the potential sectors owned. Similarly to the real sector is necessary to increase the scale of production, market share expansion, diversification and increased value-added products, as well as the intensification and extensification shape which is certainly necessary regulatory support by the Government. Moreover, as a driving force to realize this development, then any regulatory and economic measures should be carried out by maintaining the ecosystem and the environment.

Based on the potential The followers of Islam, geographical conditions, socio-cultural and, specifically that the development of Islamic economics in the form of Islamic financial institutions then, in truth, this is a great opportunity that can be optimalized in realizing sustainable development in Southeast Asia. This great opportunities can be used as a tool to use the potential of main sectors in Southeast Asia in creating an independent and prosperous. Sustainable development is of course to be in the course of time that passes through step by step, short term and long term. In the long term of sustainable development is in need of a big target in developing the economy and Islamic finance in Southeast Asia. The big target is to make asia as a pilot and Islamic economic and financial center in Asia.
