Background

Although the majority of the population is Muslim, there are many Islamic laws were enacted only a small part of Islamic rule into one of the points in the legislation. Among others, the law of inheritance, marriage and buying and selling. One thing that is unfortunate is the rule of shari’a law focusing on Islamic economics is not used widely. This law is aimed at the benefit of the people that do not specialize in the Muslims only, but thoroughly on all mankind.

World economic shocks could make Indonesia a loss and some times of crisis, even higher causing gaps that can be felt the impact to date. This shows the need for reform of economic system that is able to resolve the economic problems of the modern era.

As a cadre of economists Robbani, from this moment the Islamic spirit should be encouraged and widely introduced. There are many things we can do, ranging from the small things that make habits Islamic and deepen insight. CIES in this case the legal institute in the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya become active institutions are struggling to enforce the Islamic system.

Seeing such case, the CIES (Center for Islamic Economic Studies) is planning to implement activities CGTS (CIES GOES TO SCHOOL). CGTS or CIES go to School is an activity Introducing Islamic economics from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya and Prodi Islamic economics in particular to high school students, so the basic introduction of Islamic economics is able to attract them to continue to develop their knowledge of the Islamic economy and is expected to also able to be the main attraction for the students to choose FEB optionally further study later.

Purpose and objectives

We aim to provide a basic introduction of Islamic economics to attract high school students to continue to develop their knowledge of the Islamic economy and is expected to become the main attraction for the students to choose FEB optionally further study later. The material was presented in the materials CGTS is themed around nature of Islamic economics, Islamic economic advantages compared to conventional economics, as well as the sharing of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya. It aims to steer them to choose the right and appropriate State. Pematerinya the Executive Board Chairman and Board of CIES who have a good knowledge of Islamic economics and on the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya.

 

implementation Activities

We have organized this activity according to the target of 5 schools. In this activity we focus on students who have focused their education level 11 and 12 high school. The first time we came to MA Muhammadiyah Plus Malang on 18 April 2019. For our second school is Al Izzah, International Islamic Boarding School on 11 May 2019. For our third school we came to Krangploso Islamic High School on 14 August 2019. For the fourth school we visited Malang Islamic High School on September 19, 2019. For the fifth school we visited Ar-Rahmah Malang on October 17, 2019.
