The rapid development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia must also be followed by developments in the quality of competent human resources and an understanding of the concepts and rules of sharia law of the Islamic economic system that makes Indonesia proud to be able to run the economy based on Islamic rules that benefit all parties. For this reason there is a need for socialization and the need to strengthen the Islamic economy in people’s lives. In order to deliver the da’wah right on target, it is necessary to have cadres who can ground the Islamic economy in the community, especially the people of Brawijaya University.

The creation of cadres of Islamic economic fighters is not as easy as gathering people. For that we need guidance so that the cadres created can truly fight for the Islamic economy wholeheartedly. The Autonomous Center for Islamic Economic Studies (CIES) Institute intends to create these cadres into cadres who can be leaders in the struggle to ground the Islamic economy through CIES Training 2019.

CIES 2019 Training was carried out in two agenda, the first CIES Pre Training was held on September 22, 2019 and the main agenda was CIES Training and Training was held on September 29, 2019 and the two series took place in the BRI Seminar Hall on the 3rd floor of the FEB UB Main Building. In this training, there were 5 materials presented, namely about fossei, cies, syumuliyatul Islam, the history of Islamic economic thought, and finally about ghazwul fikri. The theme of the CIES Training this time is “Establishing an Inspirational and Innovative Rabbani Economist in the Millennium Era”. The participants of the CIES Training and Education are new members of CIES 2019 participants who attended were as many as 82 participants.

The hope of the implementation of this CIES training is the formation of a comprehensive understanding of market institutions in the perspective of Islamic economics that is analyzed through market politics among students in particular and society in general and also stimulates students to make new discoveries in helping the country’s economy by referring to the Islamic economy.
