SCCB (Spiritual Coaching and Character Building)

Spiritual Coaching and Character Building (SCCB) is a series of spiritual development activities that will shape Muslim individuals to become better Muslims and have character. Therefore, this activity was made by the Islamic and Environmental Studies Forum (FORSTILLING) Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya Malang for students and students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Brawijaya, especially Muslims to foster a spirit of learning in learning Islam and able to solve problems in daily life in accordance with the Islamic perspective. The theme raised in this series of events is “Fostering and Establishing an Islamic Personality Generation”. The hope is that the positive activities that will be held can have a significant impact and certainly be able to bring a better change for most Muslim students and students of FEB UB to be self-awareness as servants of Allah and the best ummah which will deliver Islam to glory and ground the truth through mentoring.

The series of activities began with the recruitment of mentors by the Mentoring Bureau in Forstilling. These mentors are selected based on standards that have been determined from the mentoring of the UB center. The next series of activities is the Mentor Upgrading which is planned to be carried out 6 times. In this activity the selected mentors will be provided with various kinds of knowledge by a speaker in the hope that this chosen mentor will be able to teach and foster their members.

The first Mentor Upgrading was held on Saturday, February 23, 2019. The activity began at 08.00 WIB at Surau Ar-Rahman. This activity begins with the opening of the MC which was presented by Naufal Amiruddin and the chanting of the Qur’anic verses read by Rendy Zulvfan Maulana Rasyid. Then proceed with the presentation of material presented by Ustadz Muhammad Tanzil Furqon, he is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The material delivered on that day was about how to preach, techniques in delivering da’wah to students and any mistakes that should not be made while preaching in front of many people. At 10:00 WIB, the material ended and a question and answer session was held by the participants and continued with a routine mentor forum. The question and answer session ended at 11.00 WIB and ended the agenda for upgrading that day. The second Mentor Upgrading will be held on March 23, 2019.

In the last series of activities of this program Forstilling will collaborate with the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business to carry out the SCCB activities which will be held when the 2019 PKKMABA takes place. SCCB will hold two meetings in the 2019 PKKMABA series.

After all the series of SCCBs ended, later mentors will be held by the mentors for the New Students who wish to continue the mentoring beyond what is required by the PKKMABA committee for the two meetings. MABA who have been recorded wishing to continue mentoring, will continue to do mentoring once a week until the end of October 2019.
