STUDENT CONFERENCE 2018 “Strategi Pembangunan Tenaga Kerja dan UMKM di Kota Malang dalam Menghadapi Era Distruptive Revolusi Industri 4.0: Tinjauan Multiprespektif keilmuan”

As an organization that is expected to contribute optimally to the quality of life Lingkar Studi Mahasiswa Ekonomi dan Bisnis (LSME) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya embraces the youth to contribute and contribute to the community by providing scientific discussion forums in Malang Raya with the theme of  “Strategi Pembangunan Tenaga Kerja dan UMKM di Kota Malang dalam Menghadapi Era Distruptive Revolusi Industri 4.0: Tinjauan Multiprespektif keilmuan”. The student conference which was attended by representatives from several university and research institutes in Malang City aims to encourage students to find solutions from the problems that exist. The institutions that contribute with the delegates are LSME FEB UB, RSC FIA UB, UB FISIP LINES, FONETIK FIB UB, FKPH FH UB, UB RKIM, SME PP POLINEMA, UKM WAPPIM STIE Malangkuçeçwara, and UKM Penalaran UNIKAMA.

Student Conference 2018 series held in two days, ie on 12 and 13 May 2018 held in Ruang Pertemuan 1 Central Library of Universitas Brawijaya. On the first day (12/5/2018), the participants will arrive in Brawijaya University Malang to register and technical Meeting held at the Faculty of Business Economics to find out the technical explanation of the event to carry out the seminar session related to the discussion formulation the next day. The seminar materials were given by Angga Erlando who represented the academic point of view and Vicky Prasetyo as a representative of practitioners. The first day activity lasts from 9.00 am – 2 pm.

On the second day (13/5/2018) the event continued with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and General Discussion. The activity of Forum Group Discussion was held in D3.1 -D3.3 Building D Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya. Each delegation is divided into group discussion forums from three different points of view, ie the government side, the business side and the labor association side. The Group Discussion Forum activity lasts for 150 minutes by generating 5 main points of submission of a solution to be submitted at the General Discussion.

General Discussion sessions are held in Hall D.3 Building D Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya. In this session the activity is carried out by reading the 5 main points of submission of the solution by each point of view of Focus Group Discussion and draft formulation. The session lasted for 150 minutes with the result of a draft signed by representatives of the 2018 Student Conference delegates.

The event continued with announcing the best team and best speaker Student Conference 2018 and ended with closing statement by the chairman of Lingkar Studi Mahasiswa Ekonomi dan Bisnis(LSME) and photo session. With this activity is expected to appear a lot of critical thinking from the youth of Indonesia and can be formulated into a solution that is really capable to be implemented.
