Voice of The Day (VODAY)

Introduction

National day is intended to commemorate important events that have occurred in Indonesia and have a broad impact on society. However, as time went on, not a few people began to forget the national day. The community does not mean the essence of the existence of national days so that national days are considered mere formalities. The public’s indifference towards the national day makes the sense of unity in Indonesia potentially fading away. The loss of value undermines the integrity value that should be implemented in people’s lives. If this continues, the people of Indonesia will grow as indifferent people. Students as Tri Dharma College adherents should have followed up on this matter. However, not a few students do not care about the commemoration of this national day. This causes the function of the tri dharma of higher education to not run optimally.

Therefore, we as the study department and strategic action (kastrat) of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya (BEM FEB UB) created a work program namely “Voice of the Day (VODAY)” as a form of action to commemorate the national day. Through this work program, it is expected that the BEM FEB UB castle department will be able to include FEB students and the public to contribute in commemorating national day. It is hoped that this will increase nationalism and make people aware of the national commemoration.

Theme of Activity

1. VODAY I : “Commemoration of Labor Day and Education Day”
2. VODAY II : “Commemoration of the National Agrarian Day”
3. VODAY III : “Commemoration of the Pancasila Sanctity Day”
4. VODAY IV : “Commemoration of Youth Pledge Day”

Purpose and Objectives

1. Increasing the sensitivity, information and knowledge of students in commemoration of national days.
2. Facilitating students to commemorate national important days.
3. Give students insight into the actions that students can take regarding the commemoration of national days.
