WISATA QURBAN 2018

The day of Eid al-Adha is the culmination of the pilgrimage which is celebrated not only by Muslims performing the pilgrimage in the holy land of Makkah Al-Mukaromah, but also celebrated with joy by Muslims all over the world. This feast of Qurban is the day for every servant of His who can be recommended to fulfill its obligation to slaughter animal qurban. The role of education in developing the potential of young people and students, especially students to be a good person when plunging into the community is very important. These things certainly need support while still in school. But as a religious nation, the faith of students must remain awake so that it can become a lifeline later. Education and support in making this happen can be done with religious and social activities.

Forum of Islamic Studies and Environment FEB UB presents an activity called Wisata Qurban which is a routine activity once a year to celebrate Eid al-Adha. This activity will be held on Wednesday, 21-22 August 2018 / 9-10 Dzulhijjah 1439 H in Pagak Village. This activity aims to go through the slaughtering of qurban animals that aims to increase the devotion and faith to Allah SWT and raise social sensitivity to the surrounding community, especially establish the relation between students and lecturers and the people around.

This activity includes talks with local people, Islamic study by inviting competent speakers, praying Eid Al Adha together, spiritual elevation for committees and slaughter the animal of Qurban.

The series of events is divided into 2 days, where the first day on August 21, 2018 the committees together go to the location before the main day to do laudation in the night before with local people and hold an Islamic study (tausiyah) to strengthen ukhwah islamiyah. Day 2 is followed by Eid al-Adha prayers with residents and slaughter animals and distribute them to the local people.
