January 1, 2016, simultaneously all the ASEAN countries entering the imposition of economic cooperation within the frame of ASEAN single market, or better known as the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Indeed, the formulation of the concept of the single market have been conducted since long days on the summit of the 9th ASEAN in Bali in 2003, when all members of ASEAN agreed to establish an ASEAN Community that one pillar is Economic Community, the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) / ASEAN Economic community (AEC).
World Economic Forum (WEF) has determined 12 pillars that affect the level of competitiveness of a country and the one that really matters is the condition of the infrastructure. In the world of economics and industry, quality of infrastructure has a role and function very strategic. The quality of infrastructure affects logistics costs must be incurred by the company. The worse the quality of the infrastructure of a country, the greater the costs the company to run its operations both in the procurement of input and output distribution.
In 2013-2014, the problem of infrastructure is ranked third. In 2014-2015 the infrastructure problems back into a problem that many complain, but in 2014-2015 turned into fifth position, but with a value that is not much different. In the period 2015-2016 infrastructure problems back to third with a value greater than the period 2013-2014. This indicates that the quality of infrastructure in Indonesia is currently worse than two years ago. The poor state of infrastructure has a direct impact on logistics costs to be incurred by economic agents and industry.
Logistics costs in Indonesia could reach 22% -32% (Ina Primiana) or 14% of the cost of production (LPEM-UI, 2011). The smaller the company, the logistics costs incurred will be the higher of up to 32% .. It is impossible to win the competition in the MEA if the logistics costs are very high and create a high cost economy in all economic activities. Therefore, the development of infrastructure to support the cost of logistics cost becomes very urgent and need to be built by the government.
